6 Months IBM Project/Training details(Offer)

IBM is the market leader in various categories of “middleware” software, including data management, information and application integration, collaboration, software development tools, content management, security, storage management and many other solution areas. All the Leading IT companies and System Integrators in India have a sizeable population of their resources delivering services on IBM Products. The end customers of these companies are present both in India and world wide.

The following IBM Project/Training are offered by Allsoft Solutions & Services (P)Ltd. The last date of the enrollment is 31st November 2009. Limited Seats are available. The enrollment will be done on first come first serve.

IBM Project:-

IBM Projects are developed in IBM Software Labs by Industry Experts

Most relevant and Industry recommended Technology used in developing IBM Projects

The project requirements will be given by IBM. 40 hrs training will be provided before starting the project. IBM expert will explain how to execute the project. 120 hrs mentoring will be provided to the students. Project evaluation and certificate will be provided by IBM.

Fee Details:-

· Group of 2 students will be charged Rs. 12,000 +10.3% S.Tax

· Group of 4 students will be charged Rs. 22,000 +10.3% S.Tax

IBM Courses:-

Course material and certificate will be provided by IBM.

Fee Details:

· DB2- Basic Course- 7500 +10.3% S.Tax

· DB2- Advanced Course- 15,000 +10.3% S.Tax

· Websphere- Basic Course- 7500 +10.3% S.Tax

· Websphere/RAD/Project using Struts- Advanced Course- Rs. 15,000

IBM Soft Skills Course:-

3 Days training and 2 Job Opportunities will be provided

Fees:- Rs.2500

A-1 technology placement rescheduled

Kindly refer our earlier notice , dated 7th November 2009 regarding the placement drive of A-1 Technology that was earlier scheduled to be held on 26th November 2009.

It is hereby intimated that due to upcoming university examinations, and requests of the students, the above said drive has been postponed and will be held after the examinations are over. The date and time of the drive will be intimated later.

Introduction of Uniform for CEC , Landran

    1. It has been decided to introduce uniform for CEC, Landran wef the next semester. The uniform will be the same as per CEC, Ghauran and is specified below:-

Coat : Raymond Sapphire Coffee Brown Code-14

Trouser : Raymond Sapphire Code-257 (Biscuit like)

Shirt : Light Biscuit colour

Neck Tie : Brown with Logo

Turban : Coffee Brown

Shoes : Dark Tan/Brown

The students can procure the uniform from M/s Maharaja Tailor (Mr. Joginder Singh), SCO 57-59, Ist Floor, Sector 17-C Chandigarh, Mobile no. 9814834925 for Rs. 2700/- per set.

    2. The uniform has to be worn by all students from the next semester on Tuesday, Thursday, on all formal occasions and on days when campus placement teams visit CEC.

IEEE is sponsoring a Regional Student Design Competition for solutions to one of three humanitarian problems as part of the joint IEEE-United Nations Foundation Humanitarian Technology Challenge (HTC). The competition runs from Oct. 2009 to May, 2010. The HTC Regional Student Design Competition challenges students to provide a working prototype, scale model or detailed engineering design specifications for a project that satisfies one of below three Challenges.

1) Reliable Electricity
2) Data Connectivity of Rural District Health Offices
3) Individual ID Tied to Health Records:

PhD Positions in Biometrics

Applications are Invited for the full time PhD positions in Biometrics
with full scholarship in the Department of Computing, The Hong Kong
Polytechnic University, Starting from August 2010.

The offered scholarships are very high, 20,000 HK$ per month (about 2500
US$ per month) for 3 year duration. This is in addition to the full tution
fee WAIVER that our university will offer to the selected students. In
addition, the selected students in this scheme will also be provided
annual travel allowance of 10,000 HK$ per year.

The applicants should have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or
Electronics Engineering with relevant Master's degree. The applicants are
also expected to have strong background in Pattern Recognition and/or
Image Processing. The applicants should have excellent programming skills
and candidates with experience in biometrics related work can expect
preference. The successful candidate(s) are expected to directly work with
Dr. Ajay Kumar in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (earlier with IITD,
http://web.iitd.ac.in/~ajaykr). The scholarships offered are highly
competitive (among the best in the world) and therefore only students with
high academic background should apply.

The deadline for the application is 27/11/2009 and the students expected
to complete Masters degree by July, 2010 can also apply.
