Indian Air Force Placement Updates!! and Form[Hard Copy]

Dear Sir/Madam,

Greetings!!

This is in continuation to our earlier email regarding the Fast Track Selection (FTS) for induction into Flying Branch in Officers’ cadre, by Indian Air Force at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran on 14th and 15th March 2010.

Though we have earlier forwarded all the eligibility criteria and other instructions yet we are hereby forwarding the recent instructions as received from the Indian Air Force.

Eligibility Conditions:
1.   Educational Qualifications:
Graduates (Three year course) in any discipline including BE / B.Tech (Four year Course) who have attained Minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.  All candidates applying must have passed Mathematics and Physics at 10+2 level through regular schooling.

Candidates appearing in final year / semester examinations may also apply provided they fulfill the following conditions:-
(a)      Candidates should not have any present backlog and should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together upto the last semester/ year for which results have been declared at the time of FTS / AFSB testing.
(b)      Candidates should be able to provide provisional / original degree certificate latest by 15 Jun 2010.

2.   Age:    19 to 23 years as on 01 Jul 2010. i.e. Born between 02 Jul 1987 and 01 Jul 1991 (both dates inclusive).
Upper age limit for Candidates holding valid Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 25 years i.e. born between 02 Jul 1985 and 01 Jul 1991 (Both dates inclusive).

3.   Procedure:
      Registration:  Registration will take place between 0800 hours to 1100 hours at the venue on the date mentioned above.  No registration will take place after the specified time and candidates who fail to register their names on the day of registration will not be permitted to appear for selection procedure.

4.   Documents:  Candidates are required to report at the venue with the following documents:-
(a)    Two copies of pre-filled FTS Proforma (on A4 size paper) as per the format attached herewith.
(b)   Original certificate of Secondary School Examination (as proof of date of birth).
(c)    Mark sheet and certificate of Senior Secondary School Examination.
(d)   Original certificate and mark sheets (all semesters/years) of BE/B.Tech/Graduation as the case may be.
(e)    Proof of identity such as Passport, Driving Licence, Voter identity Card, College Identity Card or any other valid photo identity proof.
(f)     Two recent color passport size photographs.
(g)    In case of final year / semester students applying, a certificate from college principal clearly mentioning the following aspects annotated with proper stamp & seal of the institution (i) Name of College (ii) University affiliated to (iii) Discipline of Graduation (iv) Likely date of declaration of final result (DD/MM/YYYY format).
(h)    Original valid Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (if applicable).

5.   Registration Number will be allotted and marked on the FTS Proforma (as attached herewith).  The proforma can also be downloaded from career website of the Indian Air Force i.e. www.careerairforce.nic.in.

6.   The registered candidates will undergo screening test consisting of Multiple Choice Questions in GK and English on the same day.

7.   The IAF will endeavour to declare the result of screening test on the same day.  All candidates who clear the screening test will undergo Phase-I Test (Picture Perception and Discussion Test) either on the same day or on subsequent day(s).  Phase-I qualified candidates will undergo document check and will be issued call letters for further testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) situated at Dehradun, Mysore and Varanasi.

8.   Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) will be administered on the first day at AFSBs.  Candidates those who qualify PABT will undergo phase-II testing.  Cnadidates who fail to qualify the PABT would be routed back on the same day.

9.   No Travel allowance is permissible for appearing at the FTS.

10.  Candidates who had appeared for SSB testing for 6 SSC (Men)/35 SSC (Women)  course are not eligible to appear for this FTS.

Note: All candidates would need to submit original / provisional certificate and mark sheets latest by 15 Jun 2010, failing which the candidature is liable to be cancelled.

The detailed eligibility criteria would be covered in IAF advertisement that will be released by Indian Air Force in the regional newspapers giving full details of the designated centres, eligibility criteria, application forms and selection procedure etc.

All other information remains the same as per our previous email.
